Tania Reza

Tania Reza explores movement as a phenomenon capable of shifting between bodies, technological systems, images, and temporalities. While rooted in contemporary dance, her practice departs from its traditional ideals of control and virtuosity, focusing instead on repetition, error, wear, and the transformation of gesture.

Through video, live coding, electronic devices, and audiovisual assemblages, she constructs choreographic systems in which perception is gradually altered through minimal variations, accumulations, and glitches.

Rather than choreographing bodies, Reza choreographs conditions: environments where the human, the machinic, and the sensory continuously interact. In this context, technology ceases to function merely as a tool and instead becomes an active agent within processes of translation, tension, and change.
