Physical Landscapes

Alday Hunken Gallery proudly presents “Physical Landscapes,” in partnership with Impossible Currency. An exhibition mapping the next generation of voices in the Mexican Contemporary Art Scene. Configured as a rich tapestry of techniques, textures, and visions, this showcase reflects the diversity of Mexico’s Contemporary Art Scene, with a strong focus on underrepresented and emerging artists.

The works reveal their physicality through dynamic materials and innovative approaches. Each piece offers a critical reflection on what the Mexican Contemporary Art Scene has been and what it could become, challenging traditional narratives while embracing new possibilities.

“Physical Landscapes” invites viewers to explore the evolving landscape of contemporary painting in Mexico, celebrating its diversity and future potential.Featured artists include Alicia Ayaneguí, Antonia Alarcón, Arantxa Solís, Camille Auclair, Estefanía Viyella, Gladys Méndez, Ileana Moreno, Julián Madero Islas, Maíra Senise, Mariana Paniagua, Mario Guillén, Mónica Figueroa, Stephanny Lucero, and Yumnia Duarte.
