Kristen Giorgi

Formerly from the fashion world, Kristen Giorgi’s design and merchandising background informs her current abstract expressionist and figurative painting styles. Working from her Atlanta studio, her process is organic, defined by her attention to color, texture, and gesture. Inspired by interiors, travel, music, and family, Kristen often imagines her work in the home of its future collector. She produces work in a flurry of thought and emotion, mixing colors directly on the studio floor.

Kristen’s paintings evoke ethereal landscapes filled with an expressive, meditative force. The fluidity of her color palette reminds us of artists like Helen Frankenthaler, yet what sets Kristen apart is the immersive depth of her landscapes. Each canvas becomes a space for emotional exploration, where color, texture, and form merge in a dynamic dance of spontaneity and intention.

Her work exemplifies an innovative use of textural materials, including large-scale pieces on custom-designed linen canvases. As Kristen describes, “The layers of paint interact with the linen canvas material in unexpected ways. The result is both edgy and soft, exuberant and reflective, a mirror of my personal style and philosophy.”
