b.1994, Chile
Antonia’s artistic journey spans
across borders and cultures, with Mexico City serving
as both her current home and creative haven.
In her own words, Antonia is an artist, writer, and
researcher specializing in textile mediums. Her creative
exploration is deeply rooted in the intricate interplay
between memory and empathy, humanity and nature.
Recently, she has taken an interest in non-human
migratory processes and sustainable textile practices,
further exploring these themes through artistic
residencies in Oaxaca (Residencia Texere) and Mexico
City (Residencias Laguna).
With a deft command over various mediums, particularly
embroidery and writing, Antonia weaves together image
and story to craft narratives that resonate on a profound
level. Her work not only reflects her artistic prowess
but also invites contemplation on universal themes
of memory, empathy, and the enduring connection
between humanity and the world around us.
Her passion for the arts has led her to diverse educational
experiences, honing her craft by studying Plastic and
Visual Arts at ENPEG “La Esmeralda” in Mexico and
expanding her artistic horizons at the Iceland Academy
of the Arts in Reykjavik.
